March 2021 we decided, we are going to emigrate!

But where to start? My next few months were all about packing our personal belongings and looking on the internet for people who could help us once we got there.

Finding groups on facebook and instagram. Making connections.

Through these groups I got in touch with a Panamanian in the Netherlands who had a cousin in Panama who had a fellow student was a lawyer. Through that lawyer we started arranging our visa. In Panamá everything consists of knowing the right people and building connections. Our path to a permanent visa went fairly smoothly. Unfortunately we now know so many other stories where such a process does not go well. Where people spend a lot of time and often a lot of money only to get nowhere.

How nice is it when you arrive in a foreign country, where sometimes you don’t speak the language, you often don’t know the culture, that there is someone to assist you. Who you can ask all your questions. My goal in life is helping people, so that’s what I started to do. I set up my own business and got started.

Bringing people together, guiding the processes and bringing them to completion is what I get to do with great pleasure.

After 30 years of employed business and project support and with a completed Online Business Education, my company BayView Assist was born. With no 9-to-5 mentality and being a good sparring partner, I manage and organise as well as I train and coach. My work standards are high. My English is very good, Spanish and German are reasonable, Dutch is my mother tongue and therefore excellent.
