El Valle de Antón – Full day sight seeing

THE TOUR

The adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel. Via a scenic drive through the Pan-American Highway and winding mountain roads we will stop at a viewpoint for a panoramic view of the valley. We will start at El Chorro Macho, where a short hike leads to this beautiful 35-meter waterfall, where you can enjoy the lush scenery or take a swim.

Afterwards we will visit the famous El Valle Artisan Market, where you can shop for handmade crafts, indigenous Embera and Guna textiles, and fresh tropical fruits. Try traditional Panamanian snacks like “empanadas” or “chicheme” (a sweet corn-based drink).

We will follow our way to relax at the natural thermal pools known for their mineral-rich healing properties. A mud mask is optional. Now we will be ready for a traditional Panamanian lunch with options like grilled chicken, fresh fish, plantains, and “sancocho” (chicken soup).

Vegetarian and vegan options available upon request. After lunch we will stretch our legs again with a walk through Butterfly Haven, where you can observe hundreds of colorful butterflies in a lush tropical enclosure. And closeby we will find the APROVACA Orchid Conservation Center, which showcases

Panama’s native orchids and conservation efforts. Late afternoon we will departure El Valle but not before we have seen the Sleeping indian at Cerro la Cruz. On our way back to Panamá City, we stop at a scenic viewpoint for some more photos and we will drop you off by evening.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Easy to moderate (suitable for families).
