PRIVATE LAYOVER CANAL & CITY TOUR

Private Layover Canal & City Tour

THE TOUR

The Panama City Layover Tour is a well-organized, 5 to 6-hour guided experience designed for travelers with a short layover. Your guide will meet you at the airport 45 minutes after landing and start the tour with a visit to the Panama Canal Visitors’ Center at Miraflores Locks, where you can watch ships transit the Canal, depending on the schedule.

The entrance fee is USD 17.22 per adult and USD 7.22 per child (ages 6-12), and it’s recommended to bring cash or a credit card for payment.

Next, the tour takes you through the Cerro Ancon area, once part of the U.S. Canal Zone, and along the Amador Causeway, offering stunning views of the Panama City skyline. A stop is made at the PANAMA sign for photos and at the Biomuseo, a striking biodiversity museum designed by Frank Gehry. The tour then continues through the charming Casco Antiguo (Old Town), a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with colonial architecture, vibrant culture, and indigenous arts and crafts. You’ll also drive by Cinta Costera, the Fish Market, and the Modern City areas.

This comprehensive tour ensures that you get the most out of your short time in Panama City, and it also accommodates travelers with luggage or carry-ons, so you can relax while exploring.
