THE TOUR: At 5:00 am we will pick you up from your location in Panama City. Enjoy a scenic 2,5-hour drive on the beautiful Jungle roads.
The boats will take us to 3 islands today. On the first island, Perro Chico, you will have enough time to enjoy the clear blue water or have a stroll along the beach. The family that lives on this islands sells affordable molas and jewelery. A mola, which translates to “shirt” in the Guna language, is a piece of traditional dress typically worn by women and known for its bright colors and intricate designs depicting flowers, birds, reptiles, animals and other emblems indicative of Mother Nature. This textile arts is originated on the San Blas Islands. The next island we will visit is the Natural Pool. On the 7th of september 1882 03:15am there was an earthquake with an intesity of 7.9 in Ritcher Scale.
Fifteen minutes later a tsunami arrived at the first islands, 3-meter waves hitting the low altitude islands of San Blas swapping everything in the way. Due to this event, some islands sank, giving rise to what today’s travelers call Starfish Pool or Natural Pool or Starfish Bay with its shallow waters beauty of turquoise colors and white sand, wonderfull for snorkeling. After this beautifull island we head for the last island, Isla Diablo where we will enjoy an authentic island lunch and relax in the water, play beachvolleyball or just enjoy the music that is coming from the bar. Nice and rosy, tired but satisfied we’ll head back to Panama City, arriving home with a load of new memories around 6:30 pm.
